Mushroom is still able to vary its approach to tripped out music, here coming off like '60s rock dudes that cant' decide to freak out or have a sing along - which ostensibly describes the scene songwriter Kevin Ayers came out of. But that pretty much sums up the band's latest recording as well. Either way, it's a more breezy version of the band than what's in its recorded past - and an entertaining one.
